The unsung heroes of the hosting season- your table and chairs!

First up is this beautiful light-wood table from Pottery Barn.

The "Folsom Dining Table" is extendable and offers built-in storage in a classic, wide leg silhouette. We love the light pine finish of this table, but it is also available in a dramatic charcoal finish.

We would pair the Folsom Dining Table with a neutral upholstered chair with dark legs for contrast, like the "Layton Chair," or the more casual "Quincy Chair," both from Pottery Barn.

For the more adventurous host, brightly colored seating options like the modern "Graham Metal Upholstered Chair" paired with the "Otto Bench" (both from Interior Define) in a lavender performance velvet and brass legs add character to any dining room!

The next dining table that caught our eye was this stunning number from Restoration Hardware:

The Aero Marble Oval Dining Table by Restoration hardware features a cast iron pedestal under an oval marble top. The mix of materials means this table goes with a variety of interior styles.

And for chairs? We suggest the following:

We like to pair "heavier" (dark and/or slipcovered to hide legs) chairs with a pedestal table for a balanced look. This is the "Comfort Square Slipcovered Dining Chair" from Pottery Barn.

If a slipcovered chair is too formal for your space, a chair with a classic silhouette, like the Fallyn Dining Side Chair from Arhaus (also available as an armchair) is a match made in heaven!

The Vitolo Carved Rectangular Dining Table, also from Restoration Hardware, is our pick for a modern table.

Made of Italian travertine, this table is a work of art. Pair it with chairs with delicate legs and open backs like:

The Barbana chair by Arteriors in an embroidered ocelot pattern (left) or a more subdued textured pewter fabric (below).

Planning a more intimate event? The Willy Charcoal Pedestal Dining Table from Crate & Barrel's collaboration with Leann Ford is perfect for 1-4 people!

The beautiful Bordeau Chenille fabric on the Bahati Chair form Arteriors pairs with the Willy Pedestal Table perfectly, creating an impactful seating arrangement.
