As much as we love a good project reveal, highlighting the “after” of a space, sometimes it is just as fun to look back at the “before" images to see how far a space has come! We updated the kitchen of this home before it was passed down to the next generation to enjoy.
We kept the original catch-all function of the home’s butler’s pantry while adding more storage and giving the entire area a much-needed face-lift!
The footprint of the kitchen did not change much- we updated appliance location for better flow while cooking, increased the island size for additional storage and gave the space a lighter pallet of bright and welcoming finishes.
We seized the opportunity to make the island a focal point of the kitchen, thanks to the fluted white oak panels and white farmhouse sink.
The hidden cabinetry and outlets on the back side of the island makes it as functional as it is beautiful!
